02The CADlingua method
The case study follows a clear workflow: start with DXF or DWG, translate annotations using exclusion rules, then review the result in CAD. The public demo lets you explore a prepared example.
DXF and DWG carry the structure needed to distinguish annotations, dimensions and codes. DWG goes through an intermediate ODA conversion.
Language, glossary and rules are defined for each organisation. The process separates descriptive text from protected patterns.
Check dimensions, annotations and typography in your CAD software. The result is returned in the input format for review.

Manufacturing notes, legends and documentation for international teams. CADlingua handles drawing text with dedicated rules and a final CAD review.
Machining notes, treatments and BOM notes in the shop-floor language; rules separate patterns such as Ø50, R5 and H7 for validation.

CADlingua classifies descriptive text and applies rules to exclude dimensions, tolerances, symbols and codes. It returns the same format so you can check values, typography and text fit in CAD before manufacturing.
DXF and DWG. The limit measured in production was 25 MB per file. DWG files are converted through ODA for processing and returned as DWG.
Not today. Six targets are covered: German, English (GB and US), French, Italian and Portuguese. DeepL does support Cyrillic, CJK, Greek and Arabic, so extending it is a matter of configuration rather than a different engine. Write to us if you need it.
It can be configured per company with a glossary, proper nouns and code rules. That configuration is enabled per organization; no generic glossary is applied by default.
A generic translator cannot distinguish a note from a dimension. CADlingua classifies entities and applies rules to exclude dimensions, tolerances and codes from translation; validate the result in CAD before manufacturing.
