Translate a drawing into German, without touching the dimensions
When delivering a drawing to a DACH manufacturer, notes must be translated without treating dimensions and codes as prose. CADlingua classifies those entities, translates descriptive text with DeepL Pro and returns the same format for review in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Why technical German is especially delicate
Technical German is compact and builds long compound words (e.g. "Senkschraube", "Passung"), while manufacturing terminology is highly specific: a mistranslated note changes a machining instruction. A generic translator may also treat "Ø50" or "BAA-0246" as prose. The delivery must therefore separate text, dimensions and codes, then be validated in CAD.
How CADlingua does it
Upload the drawing in DXF or DWG and choose German. CADlingua separates translatable prose and applies rules to omit dimensions, tolerances, symbols and codes. A glossary and proper nouns can be configured per organization. You get the same format back and validate the result in CAD.
